Welcome to the first audio clip that is making its way to the Soundbites blog – is this a podcast?! I don’t know, but I enjoy talking to people that have something valuable to share and using one of my handpan mics to record a chat is really easy – so here we are.
Back in November last year while browsing at a local crafts fair, my brother came across a notice about a free wellbeing course. He said “this sounds like this kind of thing you would be interested in”. It was! After an evening taster session in December, my brother, my partner and I decided to enroll in the five evening course that would start in January.
One evening a week we would gather with other locals to absorb information presented around the five pillars of the course – Relax, Eat, Move, Sleep and Connect. I really enjoyed using these regular evenings and their goal setting mechanics to bring some accountability and pace to things that I’d heard a little bit about, but never got further than that with.
I hope you enjoy this 25min clip where Katy and I discuss how she got into healthcare, how its shortcomings fueled the creation of this fantastic course and funnily enough – how that is now coming full circle as her course makes its way into her practice!
